Hello, I'm Lance.

With my 2a Indian black-brown hair, mid-thigh length - I am on my low manipulation, length-retention journey.

Just like I'm today, my ancestors were haircare enthusiasts who loved caring for their tresses to the extent of making it their lifestyle. For us, hair is an emotion. In my late teenage years, I formulated the classic hair growth infusion inspired by our family hair traditions and the herbs they used, tweaking the formula even more potent by removing the 'heat' element from it. My parents were (and are) my biggest support.

We don't boil, we infuse. 

Slow and steady, but with all the bio actives intact.

The formula turned out to be an instant hit among my circle and I personally loved it on my scalp for how confident it made me about gaining all the length I could in a sport span after a bad haircut as a teenage girl. I could grow out my shoulder length hair to TBL (tailbone length) in the shortest span.

Back in 2013 when Lancemade was just launched (previously named as mabh) We were a community of women documenting our progress in length retention on our blogs, those days were sweet.

As a small humble brand, we have grown online, and we are loved by thousands worldwide today. We have no plans to mass produce. We aim to remain simple, but focused on sharing our love for tresses together and cherishing it everyday.

2023! Today, we love being the holy grail choice of hair enthusiasts, allowing them to reach new heights with maximum growth and length retention. The growth wasn't just faster, but the strands softened like silk, and the overall quality of hair and scalp dramatically improved in every hair type.

As a trade secret, our slow infusion technique allowed the high potent, wildly crafted botanicals to seep in more beautifully in our base, without heat.

Trademark: In early 2022, the government of India approved and registered our trademark LANCEMADE® and we switched from our previous name (mabh).

Does LANCEMADE® contain minoxidil? For a formula that achieves maximum growth & retention of the length gained, we get this question asked a lot. Lancemade® does NOT contain minoxidil or any other man-made ingredient. It contains potent hair picked herbs, infused in the right manner to experience their true potential. I can't tolerate thick oils. What is the texture like?: The light golden hue and the incredible slip are the first two things people notice and feel about LANCMADE® normally. Its texture is light and loved by our regular clientele worldwide. You can slather a few drops for an instant boost of moisture before styling your hair into braids or buns.

Note: We achieve a weightless texture through our unique, heatless cold-infusion technique. (Heat thickens the oil and nullifies the bio-actives)

I am prone to headaches. Is this infusion scented?: There is no particular fragrance (*no added scents) however, the infusion carries a faint fragrance like that of a herb garden which is subtle and refreshing to your senses.

We avoid botanicals with heavy notes and common allergies to help the formula remain sensitive-scalp safe. The formula is very mild and is safe for children. If you're concerned about a particular ingredient, please let us know.
